Don't have my second monitor hooked up right now, otherwise my contacts list would be over there.

I should thank Steve Jobs for a Keynote that saved me money and didn't have me lusting after something. Amount to be spent as a result of this keynote - 0
AppleTV - pointless.
iPhone - beautiful. I'm NEVER spending that much on a phone. EVER.
New Airport Extreme - cost twice what it should.
The airport base station is priced competitively with other n routers.. check out linksys new N router.
Jobs didnt have much of a choice about the iPhone. Its what some many people in the media wanted so he had to deliver or Apple stock might have suffered. I dont agree with it but I dont blame him. I was looking for a MacBook Pro update but I'm not worried :D

There's no way to know really. The next update will probably be late this year or early next year. Might be a redesign, or not.

The 2.0T engine is cool, since it effectively did about 230hp at the crank, very impressive for a 4cyl engine. It made the V6 look bad.
My qualm isn't the engine, it was the way they packaged it - and they DID fix this on the later runs (I think on the 2009 models you could get the I4s equipped every bit as well as the V6).
But in it led me to buying a 300C instead - and after hearing about stuff on vwvortex I really didn't feel bad about that decision. As for the 5cyl, it is competent but I don't see the point to it - people should be buying a TDI instead, and the 5cyl is a noisy odd engine. >>

Hi just read this on LaCie's website...
LaCie Unveils First Bus-Powered FireWire Speakers Design By Neil Poulton
LaCie firewire speakers (http://www.lacie.com/company/news/news.htm?id=10308)
They have also announced other new products. Anyone seen these speakers at MWSF? What do they sound like? I'm looking for a pair for my new MPB C2D. ;)

Fine way to shoot a big hole in your credibility. Learn a little about the lead up to the war before making uninformed assertions like this.
Care to give me some information? Wasn't Japan an ally to Germany? Didn't they attacked in Pearl Harbor?

So cliche.
I guarantee those are the straight women, who actually have to spend time with men. ;)
Us lesbians don't have to deal with that crap. The man-hating lesbian was created by egotistical straight men who couldn't believe that a woman would choose another woman over a man.
I've actually met that kind of lesbian, at first I thought I was being trolled. The sane lesbians probably don't get seen because they are too busy being normal.
Something I like, times two.
Next question please.
Yes sir, you in the balcony, with your pants around your ankles.
Bruised egos? How quaint.
They aren't interested in you

Yes, dressing like a slut is a freedom in the Western World. This however does not mean it is a good idea. A woman who dresses like a slut is advertising that the best thing about them is their body. I don't know about y'all, but I value more than looks so someone who dresses in such bad taste is clearly a thing to avoid.
On the other hand I go out of my way to help women who act and dress well because it is more conductive to business. Ever tried to conduct a business meeting where a woman shows up dress very promiscuously? Seems I'm the only one who can concentrate in those kinds of settings.
You do realize that all social interactions are not business transactions right?

ok, still waiting on graphics card. Wiring is neater now.
But I'm still having an issue with running video feeds from the internet. The MDD is ethernet wired rather than airport. Its really choppy with maybe 2 or 3 frames per second but perfect sound.
Could this be the video card? I've got 2Gb of ram now so that sorts that end of things. Will the ATi 9700 128mb DDR solve the issue?
What interface/app are you using to watch video and from what streaming source?
From what you explain I would guess you are running h.264 streams that may be beyond your Macs capability. My single 1.8 7448 G4 would easily outperform your dual 867 and I can't go above 480p h.264.
For the best video playback experience on your hardware I would restrict it to 480p and lower h.264 and DivX/XviD up to 720p. It's also all about the player you use. On PowerPC chips Quicktime generally uses up to double the CPU vs. VLC or Mplayer.
Give me specifics about codec and apps used and I can help you solve this issue no matter what video card you have.

I have a slightly used copy of NBA Live 06 for the 360. I am looking to get $50 shipped for this. I have 100% positive feedback under rhelfrey on ebay. I have to get rid of this so please buy or trade for it. For a trade I am looking for Project Gotham Racing 3 or Perfect Dark Zero. If you have anything else let me know and maybe we can work something out.

I can't give blood for a while due to some medication I'm on. Sucks because I used to give all the time. Can't wait to get back out there!!
On a side note, I distinctly remember a PostSecret from a few years back that said "Red Cross - FYI I still donate" and the picture was of 2 men kissing. I don't think it should be a screening question, but if you are gay and know that you're "normal" and safe when it comes to sex, what are the chances you get busted for lying??

Almost word-for-word, the exact same argument that was made by Luddites against these fancy, new-fangled mouse and GUI-based computers back in the mid-80s.
I don't think that barmann was making a case against a new technology that didn't fit the old ways like when mice were first introduced. His point was that as much as iPad fanboys want it to be the coolist thing ever that will replace all those old-fashioned computers there are differences in machines between consumer ones and those used by professionals.
It's not expected that consumers are going to know the short comings of their iPads any more than they know the shortcomings of their flat screen TVs. Even the new MBPs have professional use issue because of their displays. The MBPs are of limited pro use as long as one knows their limitations where as the iPad is of almost no pro use other than "look at this".
One really funny thing is all devices now that can make an iPad seem like a laptop! Boxes that keyboards fit into and cases that stand up are laughable because as nice as an iPad is it really sucks as a computer compared to the cheapest Air or MBP.
